Coach McMath

Coach McMath:

Coach McMath grew up in Sharpsville Pennsylvania where he was an All-State selection in both wrestling and football. He was a 2X state place winner in wrestling and was a team captain of the football team, which captured the state title his senior year.

After high school, Coach McMath attended West Virginia University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with a certification in Health. During his college wrestling career Coach McMath was a leader and captain of the West Virginia University wrestling team his junior and senior year. This team was ranked in the top five in the nation both years. His collegiate career was highlighted by multiple qualifications for the NCAA Wrestling Championships along with winning the Las Vegas Invitational, which is considered by many as the toughest collegiate tournament in the nation. Coach McMath also was an Eastern Wrestling League Champion. The greatest complement of his career was being selected to compete on the National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Star National Team that competed in Beijing China. Coach McMath was coached by former USA Olympic coach and current head coach at Arizona State University, Zeke Jones during his 5 years in Morgantown. He was also privileged to have USA Olympian Cary Kolat in the wrestling room for 2 years.

Coach McMath was hired at Jensen Beach High School in 2006 as a teacher and the head wrestling coach. He is happily married to Kimberly and they have a 2 daughter's (Alexis & Olivia) and 2 sons (Ty & Kaid). One of the first tasks was to start the Falcon Wrestling Club in September of 2006. Th club was renamed Team Barracuda Wrestling Club in 2009. During his time at Jensen Beach High School Coach McMath has coached 35 State Place Winners including 6 State Champions. He has also been selected as the Scripps Howard Sports Writers Association Coach of the Year 8 times.


Coach Smith

Coach Smith:

Coach Smith hails from the Parkersburg, WV where he was a standout at traditional powerhouse Parkersburg South High School. Coach Smith was a 4X State place winner and a 2X State Champion. He also placed 8th at the prestigious Ironman tournament his junior year. Beyond wrestling, Coach Smith excelled in baseball and golf where he was a 4X letter winner in each sport and was 1st team OVAC in baseball.


Coach Woodruff

Coach Browning

Coach Browning is a Jensen Beach alum. He wrestled his freshman and sophomore year at Martin County high school before transferring to JBHS when the school opened in 2004. His high school record was 159-19 and placed twice (2nd, 4th) at the FHSAA state tournament. He graduated from Carson-Newman college with a degree in education. He was also a 3 year starter on the wrestling team. He was the head wrestling coach at Ridgeview high school and most recently Martin County high school. During his coaching career he has coached 1 state champion and 3 state place winners. Coach Browning is currently an assistant on the JBHS staff.


Coach Hurrel

Coach Hurrell:

Coach Hurrell wrestled at Norristown High School in Pennsylvania and attended Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades. During his time in college he was a 2X NJCAA National Qualifier. He started wrestling at a young age and has been passion about the sport ever since. A highlight of his high school career was being a Fargo All American in Freestyle 2003. Brad is also a Judo Black Belt.
